The Best Mother’s Day Brunch in Houston

Whether you’re searching for a restaurant to take your own mother (or granny, or any other mother figure you’d like to honor), or you’d like to send this list to a significant other as a subtle “hint hint,” we’ve got 5 alternatives for a drool-worthy Mother’s Day brunch near Houston. We’ve got you covered there, too, because many of the eateries provide amazing take-out and delivery options, making Mom feel extra special at home. (However, if you’re feeling more daring, we’ve got some fantastic, simple brunch dishes for Mother’s Day that kids can make!)

If brunch isn’t your style, several of these eateries, which are listed in no particular order, also serve lunch and supper, and they range from classy to casual chic. All of them provide a supper that Mom will never forget!

  1. Moody Gardens – Galveston

Dine on a delicious brunch buffet at the Moody Gardens Hotel, featuring a buffet, omelet station, seafood tower, and more. Mom could then treat herself to a day getting pampered at the in-house spa and exploring the pyramids with the family. Reservations can be made online or over the phone. Brunch is served from 11am-3:00pm.

2. Truluck’s – The Woodlands & Uptown

Treat Mom to a bragworthy lunch that features all the favorites from Truluck’s regular menu plus specialties like Seafood Lasagna and Strawberry Shortcake. Mother’s Day specials are served from 12pm-9pm, and reservations can be made online.

3. Snooze – Multiple Houston locations

Snooze may be on the (much more) casual side than our previous suggestions, but its menu is equally unique and delicious. You’ll find plenty of egg options, from the breakfast pot pie to Juan’s breakfast tacos, as well as benedicts, sandwiches, and more. There are also vegan options available. Snooze doesn’t take reservations, so you’ll have to take your chance with the crowd. Luckily, Snooze opens at 6:30am! Find the location closest to you.

4. Vic & Anthony’s – Downtown

If you’re looking for fancy this Mother’s Day, Vic & Anthony’s is the place to go. This May 8th, the Houston restaurant is offering a Mother’s Day menu featuring a filet and scallops at $95 per person. Reservations can be made online.

5. Backstreet Cafe – Montrose

Lounge at Backstreet Cafe’s patio for Mother’s Day brunch, which runs from 10am-3pm. The three-course menu is $56 per person and $15 for children. In addition to offering tasty options like squash carrot muffins, heirloom tomato salad, soft shell crab benedict, and flourless chocolate cake, the restaurant is also featuring live jazz music by Bob Chadwick for the holiday.
